I had this container in my car that I won at a Meet and Greet Event raffle, so after placing another cache in this park, the four of us ventured down the trail to an area we had not yet been to. Along the way we got to sit and watch a very long freight train go by, which was just the BEST THING EVER!, according to my son.
We continued on to the end where there is a great old trestle over the river and, sadly, an opportunity for a CITO...some major cleanup is needed here. It's still a cool area and there appears to be some construction going on along the other side of the river...perhaps a paved trail extension? One can hope...
This is a pretty easy find, very close to the trail. The Terrain rating is kind of an average. Today it was closer to a 2.5 or 3...but on a rainy summer day, it could easily get up to a 4 or 4.5 even. Be prepared to get your shoes dirty.
The hint I leave will be a photo instead of text and it should help you in the event the coordinates are off a bit.
There's some FTF prize swag in the cache. Be sure to check out the Doll's Head Trail on the way in and/or out of the park...and watch for trains! They come by frequently!
