Having lived in town for a few months, I was amazed that there was no cache out here. So, true to form, I took it upon myself to mark this amazing location. Folks here might be in awe of a place like Arlington National Cemetary, but it is the memorials in small towns like this that honor those who served which amaze me the most.
I got the cache name from a Toby Keith song...hey, another Okie, what'd you expect? Here's just a short excert from this song:
Oh, and I don't want to die for you / But if dyin's asked of me / I'll bear that cross with honor / 'Cause freedom don't come free * I'm an American Soldier........
The markers here are a simple reminder to all that this song is dead on accurate and I hope that we can all remember this in our lives, that at some time in our nation's history, many have served and some even paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
Happy caching and good luck.
