Where there was once a real live fire lookout, now there's only an automated radio relay station, and a U.S.G.S. Seismic Station.
The Seismic station is to the west of the peak, no need to go anywhere near it, the cache is across the flat, on the east side.
For years we've wondered why there's not been a cache up here. Well, we've solved that problem.
This area is probably inaccessable when the weather is bad, and may stay that way most of the winter, although this year, (2014) it's really nice up here. Should be an easy find, if you can get up here.
4WD is not strictly necessary, but will help prevent tire problems on the sharp rocks on the access road. Or bring your dual sport.
