ABOUT THIS LOCATION
Wat Phra Singh (วัดพระสิงห์) is located in the western part of the old city centre of Chiang Mai, which is contained within the city walls and moat. The main entrance, which is guarded by Singhs (lions), is situated at the end of the main street (Rachadamnoen road) of Chiang Mai. The road runs east from the temple and intersects with Tapae Gate (home to another great cache).
As the main entry route to Chiangmai used to be the Ping River and down ThaPae Road to the gate, this was the main thoroughfare of Chiangmai.
This cache is located just outside of the temple walls, on the street, in plain view of passers by. It's also somewhat near a local restaurant called SP Chicken. Use this restaurant as a reference point of you're getting here by taxi or tuk-tuk. You do not have to enter the restaurant to grab the cache, as it is just out of view of the restaurant's main entrance.
The cache is in a somewhat high-muggle area, so please be very careful when grabbing and signing the log on this one. And please bring your own pen.
