Geocache Description:

The cache is a small container, please BYO pen be careful with children by the water if you investigate further. This can be a busy place at time so watch out for muggles. You can get to GZ from two sides.


This cache is close to one of the few crossings of its type over the Heathcote River.

 

The Heathcote River (MāoriŌpawaho) lies within the city boundaries of ChristchurchNew Zealand, and is fed from springs near Templetons Road and also receives wet weather flows from as far west as Pound Road. It meanders around the base of the Port Hills from west to south-east.

 

The Heathcote River is named after Sir William Heathcote, secretary of the Canterbury Association.
