Geocache Description:

At the time of the USS NORTH CAROLINA commissioning on April 9, 1941, she was considered the worlds greatest sea weapon. Armed with nine 16-inch/45 caliber and twenty 5-inch/38 caliber guns, NORTH CAROLINA proved a formidable weapons platform. Her wartime complement consisted of 144 commissioned officers and 2,195 enlisted men, including about 100 Marines.

There is pull-off parking on USS North Carolina Road near the cache. Do not park on the edge of the highway. You will need your own writing stick.
