The plan:
8:30 am - Arrive at McCormacks Beach parking lot, just outside of Fisherman's Cove in Eastern Passage.
9:00 am - Get garbage bags and gloves, and start cleaning beaches
11:45 am - Turn in all trash bags
12:00 - Lunch at one of the restaurants in Fisherman's Cove
12:30 - Awards and geocaching introduction
In order to make the day more fun, we will be giving away a few prizes on completion of the cleanup.
On this CITO weekend, thousands of geocachers will walk away from their events with bags of trash and a sense of pride. We are preserving the natural beauty of our world.
To make the day even more fun, there will be at least a couple new caches placed along the beach. Coordinates will be distributed on site, and should be avilable online that day.
