I took this Nalgene bottle to the High Sierras, Yosemite Falls, Glacier Point and may other iconic places in 2011. It has hiked hundreds of miles with me. Unfortunately, I did not wash it after some Gatorade and it grew the same stuff you would find in Moorephun's shoes. It has been recycled but must live on in the woods. It would do well if someone put some swag in it.
Germanna Foundation has given permission for Geocachers to enter the No Trespassing areas. They are really there to keep out naughty people. You may park at the Foundation building (GC3EXQ3)or in Germanna Community College parking lot (see below parking waypoint.) Walk past the building and head toward the river on the Red Trail. These trails are better than a bushwack but not groomed. Trail is clearly marked with Red Blazes. This is almost at the end of the trail, aprrox 5 mile roundtrip hike. Off the beaten path alittle, shouldn't be too bad in the summer. There is no hunting on Germanna Foundation property but I did see on old tree stand. Always be careful in hunting season.
