Geocache Description:

Another event brought to you by a member of the

Looking for something to do with your geo-sweetheart around Valentine's Day? Or, just wanting to hang with the greatest geo-family - The USCGA?  If "Yes" to either question then this event is for you.

When:  February 15th @ 6:00pm-8:00pm
Where: The Grapevine Restaurant in Boiling Springs; 1926 Hwy 9
What: Dinner of course...Some USCGA Fun...and, if you chose to participate, a game with the new experimental "I ♥ Geocaching" caches.

As usual at USCGA events, we will have a great time spending it as a geocaching family.  Come out and share your recent geocaching adventures with other cachers, join in some games we have planned, or, if interested, join in the "I ♥ Geocaching" exchange (details below).

For the month of February, every Premium Member of geocaching.com will be able to hide one personal geocache for one special person. Once this geocache is found and logged by one account, it is automatically archived.  This special geocache is a Lab Cache for the month of February only, which celebrates "I ♥ Geocaching".  More information about Lab Caches can be found here - Lab Caches blog.  Some FAQ on the "I ♥ Geocaching" cache can be found here - I ♥ Geocaching blog.

If you wish to participate in the "I ♥ Geocaching" exchange, please do the following:

1. On February 3rd, details on hiding a "I ♥ Geocaching" Lab Cache will be announced to all Premium Members by Geocaching HQ. Follow the special guidelines, visit the Builder (link will be provided February 3rd) and hide your cache. Please note that there are very few restrictions on Lab Caches and no review process. Just use your imagination and common sense.

2. Keep your Lab Cache and its URL address secret. Write this information in a Valentine, seal it up in an envelope and bring it to this event. Don't indicate who it is from on the outside but do include the URL address link and your contact information (such as email address or at least your Geonick) on the Valentine itself.

3. When you arrive at this event, turn in your Lab Cache Valentine and you will be given a numbered ticket. We will call numbers and everyone who brought a Lab Cache Valentine will randomly choose an envelope. That will be your special Lab Cache that only you can log. Everyone who brings a Lab Cache Valentine will receive one.

Note: In order to participate in the "I ♥ Geocaching" exchange, you must hide you cache prior to the event and bring a Valentine to the event in order to receive one.

More details will be available after Geocaching HQ makes their big announcement on February 3rd. Any questions that you may have concerning creating your cache, hiding your cache, preparing your valentine for the event, etc. can be asked on our forums page dedicated to the event - USCGA Valentine Party

Whether you chose to use your "I ♥ Geocaching" cache for this event or not, everyone is welcome to attend.  There will be plenty of good times to go around for the evening.  Mark you calendar, get ready to hide your "I ♥ Geocaching" cache when they go live on February 3rd, and come out and join us for a good time USCGA style.

NOTE: Please indicate how many people will be with you for the evening so that we can give The Grapevine an accurate count.

Thank you, The Waysiders, for sharing with us the idea of utilizing the "I ♥ Geocaching" exchange during the event, and allowing us to mimic your idea. Thank you, 123abcteacher, for planting the idea of doing a Valentine Event in my head.
