Ce parc a été créé pour la visite du Pape Jean-Paul II (05. Oct 1986) à Paray-le-Monial. Son nom vient d'un ancien moulin qui se trouvait ici entre le 15ème et le 18ème siècle. Il a été détruit au cours de la construction du Canal du Centre.
Aujourd'hui, vous trouverez prés de 850 arbres et conifères du monde entier. Il y a aussi des promenades le long de la Bourbince et du Canal du Centre, les espaces de jeux pour enfants, un parcours santé et un petit amphithéâtre.
Le Sal de la Paix est une petite zone dans la partie reculée du parc. Comme un symbole, des arbres ginkgos et cèdres du Liban ont été plantés ici autour de la petite place paisible. Le Ginkgo a existé pendant plus de 200 millions d'années et est très résistant. En Chine, il est vénéré et au Japon il est saint. Après le bombardement atomique sur Hiroshima et Nagasaki, l'arbre ginkgo était l'un des rares survivants. Le cèdre du Liban a survécu à toutes les vicissitudes du pays. Son bois est considéré comme indestructible. Ces arbres forts se tiennent comme symbole pour une paix inébranlable.

This park was created for the visit of Pope John Paul II (05 . Oct. 1986 ) to Paray-le-Monial. The parcs name comes from an old mill that once stood here, between the 15th and 18th century. It was destroyed during the construction of the Canal du Centre.
Today you will find nearly 850 trees and conifers from around the world. There are also walkways along the Bourbince and the Canal du Centre, playgrounds for children, a fitness trail and a small amphitheater.
The „Salle de la Paix“ is a small area in the remote part of the park. As a symbol, gingko trees and cedars of Lebanon were planted here around the small quiet square. Ginkgo has existed for over 200 million years and is very durable. In China, the tree is worshiped and in Japan it is holy. After the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the ginkgo tree was one of the few survivors. Cedar of Lebanon has survived all the vicissitudes of the country. Its wood is considered indestructible. These strong trees stand as a symbol for an unshakable peace.

Der Park wurde für den Besuch von Papst Johannes Paul II. (05 . Oktober 1986 ) in Paray -le-Monial angelegt. Seinen Namen hat der Park von einer alten Mühle, die früher hier stand, zwischen dem 15. und 18, Jahrhundert. Sie wurde während dem Bau des Canal du Centre abgerissen.
Heute findet man hier 850 Laub- und Nadelbäume sowie Koniferen aus der ganzen Welt. Es gibt auch Gehwege entlang der Bourbince und dem Canal du Centre, Spielplätze für Kinder, einen Trimm-Dich-Pfad und ein kleines Amphitheater.
Der "Salle de la Paix" ist ein kleiner Bereich im abgelegenen Teil des Parks. Als Symbol wurden Gingko-Bäume und Libanonzedern hier um den kleinen ruhigen Platz gepflanzt. Ginkgo gibt schon seit über 200 Millionen Jahren und er ist sehr langlebig. In China wird der Baum verehrt und in Japan ist er heilig. Nach dem Atombombenabwurf auf Hiroshima und Nagasaki war der Ginkgo-Baum einer der wenigen Überlebenden. DieLibanonzeder hat alle Unbeständigkeit in ihrem Land überlebt. Das Holz gilt als unzerstörbar. Diese starken Bäume stehen als Symbol für einen unerschütterlichen Frieden.
