Dyer Pirate's Treasure Reborn Traditional Cache
JL_HSTRE: This area has grown quite a bit in 6 3/4 years.
Located the LnL which has lost 2 of 4 latches meaning the container is done. It has been removed and properly placed in the trash. I'm glad I was able to give it an extended lease on life.
No trackables in inventory or container.

Small cache with pirate-themed swag in Dyer Park. It can be accessed by foot, bike, or horseback a short distance from the park's perimeter multi-use double track trail. Leashed dogs are allowed. The park is open sunrise to sunset.
Do not drive to the cache or park at the trailhead; parking coordinates are provided. The paved bike trail connects the parking lot with the multi-use trail.
This cache is a revived "Pirate's Treasure" (GC20ZWV). The cache was placed in 2009 and replaced in 2011 when it apparently went missing, but it turned out both containers remained. In Jan 2014, I found both containers, removing the damaged one and leaving the lock-n-lock in the same area. I contacted the original CO, but she was unable to unarchive original listing so I could adopt it; with her approval I am creating a new cache listing instead.
Dyer Park is a 560 acre county park. Most of the park is built on a re-purposed garbage dump. Facilities include baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, multi-use sports fields, a paved bike path, a mountain bike trail, an equestrian trail, a RC aircraft field, a playground, and several picnic areas. It is also home to Palm Beach County's oldest active cache, Mountain Bike Hill (GC312C). Restrooms are available at the parking coordinates. Dyer Park is sometimes used as a parking area for PGA events during which time the cache might not be accessible.
