Geocache Description:

ACCESS CODE: 5-0-0

Built in August of 1907 by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Schenectady, New York, this locomotive engine spent the majority of its 50 years of service hauling freight and passengers a total of an estimated 2.5 million miles around the American Southwest. The Southern Pacific Railroad donated the engine to the city of Yuma in 1957 after the steam technology became obsolete with the advent of locomotive diesel engines.
