Geocache Description:

An easy grab and there is a small pull-off, just be careful during high-traffic season.

One of the Caches in the Boothbay Region Corridor series. These caches will lead you down the peninsula through Edgecomb, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport. Bordered by the Sheepscot and Damariscotta rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean, this is one of the most beautiful areas in the Midcoast of Maine, offering a multitude of nature walks and vistas, entertainments, and dining. A wonderful place to visit, but also a great place to live!

Welcome to Cod Cove! Coming from the south, you are approaching the turn down the Boothbay Region peninsula! You’re in Edgecomb and have just passed over Davis Island where the historic Fort Edgecomb is located. This area empties out at low tide and you will often see Clammers up to their knees in the mud with their rakes and pails.
