Welcome to - A Bend in the Bayou- a series by fhaley and LouRez.
There are a lot of great series within a twenty mile radius of downtown Houston, so finding a location that will hold a decent number of caches isn't an easy task. We have been looking for some time now, and finally, with a tip from a fellow cacher, discovered this area on White Oak Bayou!
If you like a series that can be completed by hiking or biking, we hope that you'll find this one enjoyable.
There is a parking area that is located at a public park by the bridge that takes you to the first cache. We've included coords for the parking area.
The area is flat, but you will be entering the tree line to get to most of the caches, so be aware that you could see a critter or two! Also, there are a few thorny vines near some of the hides, so be careful.
Happy caching!
