Tamworth NSW is the Country Music Capital of Australia. Each year in January fans come from all over the world to listen to some of the world's best country music. In 2014 Tamworth Regional Council honoured Slim Dusty and Joy McKean in the form of a bronze sculpture. This beautiful sculpture is situated in the centre of the Tamworth's main shopping centre on Peel St as a memorial to the late great Slim Dusty.
