Manaia's Kingdom view (Whangarei Heads) Northland Traditional Cache

Mount Manaia is about 30 kilometres southeast of Whangarei. An excellent road takes you from Whangarei through Onerahi and around the bays until you see The Mount Manaia Club, where you will find the car park and the start of the track up the mountain. However, before you can take advantage of the overpowering wonder of the view from the rocky columns at the summit, you must negotiate a climb that is made easier by stairways, but still a climb and a half.

Our Cache is a Screw lid container that is about the size of a can of beans. I have placed a log enclosed in its own capsual to keep it dry, a pen and some swag. Children always love to trade swag, so hopefully this will give your children something to keep them going for.
