Geocache Description:

This is the monthly Bicester And District (BAD) geocachers meet-up. It also marks the end of my first year of caching and as there are very few geocoin events around I thought I would throw that into the mix too.

Where: The Plough Marsh Gibbon, Oxfordshire. We have the dining area booked (straight forward when you walk in through the front door). Details of food will be added to this page when the menu is available.

When: From 7pm til 11pm, Wednesday 26th March 2014.

Why: Because it’s a pub, and it’s one year since I started caching. And I like collecting geocoins.

Who: Cachers from far and wide, but often Bicester and surrounding towns and villages. Geocoin collectors, GeoDogs in the bar and beer garden (Sorry no dogs in the dining room) and GeoKids. Newbie cachers and first-time cache event attendees will be made especially welcome.

What: The next instalment of the monthly BAD events. This time I ask that you bring along your geocoin collections (from 1 to 100,000) to admire and share tracking numbers. As it is my first anniversary I may even bring along a cake!

Bonus! 10 new caches have been approved to be published on the day.

UPDATE: The Friday of the week of this event is Wear A Hat Day for brain tumour awareness (Google Wear A Hat for more details). As brain tumours very personal to me I thought it would be good to add this to the event. All you have to do is turn up wearing a hat. There is no money involved, you just need to wear a hat to the event and in return I will give the wearer of the best hat a geocoin from a choice of 3 and another collectable item from a choice of 2 items. The next best hat will get a geocoin from a choice of 2 and another collectable item. The third best hat will receive a geocoin.

I will hopefully also have a new geocoin available for sale. I will not be making any money from the sale of the coin but the Groundspeak rules won't let me mention where the money will go (despite the coin being Groundspeak approved with the banned info on the coin!)

Menu:The pub have asked if you can order your food before the night if at all possible. Please log a note with your choice (if eating) by 24/03/14 if you can
