Geocache Description:

Akainko-gu Shrine. Akainko is known as the creator of sanshin music on Okinawa. It is said that around 500 years ago, he arose to heaven on this spot. On March 4th of every year, many sanshin performers visit here believing this will make them better performers. Sanshin literally means "three-four". On September 20th (Lunar calendar) an annual sanshin performance is held here in his honor. Please be respectful and use the stairs...ALL the stairs.

The cache is a medium sized tupperware container (screw on lid) painted olive drab. I recommend parking at the Family Mart to keep from getting clogged in at the top or blocking some locals in their homes. For the FTF is some sweet sanshin shisa.

Congrats to Aoitori on the FTF! That was fast!
