Geocache Description:

The CNY14 series celebrates the Chinese New Year of 2014. The 12 animal signs of the Chinese Zodiac are presented in this series. Eleven will have a Alphabet value needed to determine the coordinates to find the twelfth for this 2014 Chinese New Year, the unknown cache CNY14: Horse - Your Knight will come!

The Snake carries the meanings of malevolence, cattiness and mystery, as well as acumen, divination and the ability to distinguish herbs. But people born in the year of the Snake often have a good temper and a skill at communicating but say little. They possess gracious morality and great wisdom.

The use of the Snake in Medicine

The medical profession has adopted the Rod of Asclepius as their symbol. The Rod of Asclepius takes its name from the god Asclepius from Greek mythology, a deity associated with healing, medicinal arts and health care.

Rod of Asclepius

The Star of Life is associated with Emergency Medicine and is a 6 pointed star with a Rod of Asclepius in its center.

Star of Life

Some groups have frequently confused the Caduceus, the staff of the god Hermes, a double serpent on a short rod with a winged top for medical services. The Caduceus is actually a symbol for commerce.
