Charli's Walk 1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Granett: After thinking about it I've decided to let the "Charlies Walk" series go. They've had a good life considering it was one my earliest attempts at creating a series. Truth be known though they were placed a bit too close to the river which made them subject to seasonal flooding, lesson learnt I suppose.

Thanks for all the nice logs and apologies to those that had them on their radar.

Geocache Description:

Charli's Walk 1

Charli is a beloved member of our family, we got her as a pup in November 2007. She is a cross between a golden retriever and border collie. She loves all sorts of things, mainly food. But also loves going for rides in the car, going for walks, going to the beach, and generally anything to do with water. Oh! And she doesn’t mind a nap these days either.

We started taking her for walks in the off lead area near the Canning River in Thornlie. It wasn’t long before she realised that the river was nearby and would go for a swim whenever she could.

This series of caches tracks the route that we would most often walk Charli and some are near the spots that she would nick off for a quick dip. Most of the hides are quite easily accessible and close to the designated path with the exception of one or two.

From the parking spot it would be about a 2.5 km round trip walk or ride to complete all 6 caches in one hit. The cache containers are either 1ltr or 400ml camouflaged, (painted black) clip-lock sistema boxes.

Each cache contains a log book, pencil and a few swappable items. Please place the cache back where you found it and don't put the pencil in the log book bag.

This is a popular area for people walking their dogs or cyclists so you may see the odd muggle or two in your travels particularly on weekends.

Update June 2015

Sadly Charli passed away on the 22nd June 2015.

She will be always in our thoughts...

Charli's Walk 1 could be a stand alone park and grab from the culdesac in Albrecht place.
