Inside the Church there are sixty superb carved bench-ends from the early 16th Century, which are among the oldest in England. The Raleigh family bench-ends, dated 1537, and the pew where Raleigh worshipped as a boy, are situated second on the North (left) side of the Nave.
Also to be seen inside are a portrait of Sir Walter and a shield of HMS Raleigh, which keeps close links with the Church.
On 1st November each year, by tradition children stand under the tower of All Saints Church to catch buns thrown down by the Vicar.
The cache is hidden just outside the Church grounds on a busy narrow lane. Please do not block the road entrance nearby.
There is a free car-park at N 50 39.357 W 003 19.391 with direct access to the Church. Take a short walk through the grounds and exit by the gate opposite the cache – but beware you exit straight onto the road.
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
