In the corner of the park two headboards can be found. Both of them was made by Sándor Nemes in 1989, and the bigger one commemorates the 1848-49 revolution and war of independence, while the smaller one is a memorial of the 1956 revolution and war of independence. A Berettyóújfalui Népliget
A város legcsendesebb és legnagyobb kiterjedésű parkja a Népliget és környéke. A Népliget festői szépségű tájat kínál a kis tavacskával közepén egy szigettel. A tó vize a szomszédos strandfürdőből jön, és telente általában gyerekek csúszkálnak rajta. A park sarkában található két kopjafa. Mindkettőt Nemes Sándor készítette 1989-ben. A nagyobbik az 1848-49-es, míg a kisebbik az 1956-os forradalomnak és szabadságharcnak állít emléket. A Népliget mellett található városunk strandfürdője, mely a hajdúszoboszlóinál is jobb termálvizével, illetve számos szolgáltatással várja a gyógyulni, pihenni vágyókat. A híd melletti csövön évekig folyt el az ásványi anyagokban gazdag gyógyvíz, melyből a környékbeli lakosság szívesen vitt haza fürdőkúrára. Ezt néhány éve - hogy ne pazaroljuk - elzárták, aminek hatására a forrás visszaesett, és a mélyben található gyógyvíz más utat keresett magának.
