Geocache Description:

Another Park & Grab adding to the Putnam County Run originated by kestral139.

This park & grab is near a VERY MUDDY pull-off!  Well, at least it was muddy the first time I stopped by.  I had no idea how I was going to get out of there because it was just me and the kids in the van.  I got out and started finding rocks to throw under the tires.  While I was doing that, two very nice hillbilly gentlemen from the bar across the street walked over (one in full camo gear) and helped push the van while I turned the wheel and gave it some gas.  They managed to get the van out of the mud and I want to note that they did this without ever taking their cigarettes out of their mouths.

I was very appreciative and thanked them profusely while they waved and walked themselves back over to the bar in their muddy pants.  I returned to the scene yesterday (this time parking on the opposite side of the road in the gravel!) and went into the bar.  Not surprisingly, the two kind men were there again.  I gave the waitress some money and told her their drinks were on me for their kindness two weeks ago.  Then I walked across the road and planted the cache in the spot I had previously scoped out.

So, the moral of the story is that if the ground is wet I recommend parking on the gravel side of the road opposite of the cache so you don't get stuck in the mud.  The road isn't very busy and you can see a good ways in both directions, so crossing the road isn't bad.  Obviously, still be careful crossing the road though.

Cache is a small pill bottle type container with a log only.  BYOP.

CONGRATULATIONS to KIRKLKING on the FTF!
