Geocache Description:

Only once in a blue moon can a geocacher find a place with such a unique view of the Franklin Mountains State Park!

This cache is located in the shadows of North Franklin Mountain.  From the GZ you can view Indian Peak, Mundy's Gap, and the Tin Mines.  The hike to the cache offers a wonderful look at North Franklin Mountain and its eastern approaches.  You will also pass the Mule Shoe Loop Trail which is not often advertised on maps and brochures.

The GZ will be about a four mile walk from Chuck Heinrich Park depending on which trail(s) you take.  The terrain is not overly difficult, but the cache is small and should be fun to search for.  The container can hold very small items and the log is in a white tube within the container.  Bring lots of water on this adventure and watch out for snakes and lots of pokey things.

BYOP and TOTT!!!!!!!

The map clearly illustrates that this cache is located in the Franklin Mountains State Park (as such, the permit is on file with the Park Superintendent).  Entrance to the park costs $5 per adult...and this caching experiencing will be worth the price...
