Geocache Description:

This is a small geocache located in a wooded area south of Mullen Road. Prepare for a bushwhack! If you don't like bushwhacking, it's best to avoid this cache.

Update August 2016: This wooded area used to contain a system of dirt trails. Someone (presumably a local resident) was maintaining them until rather recently. The result is that the trees and brush in the area have grown significantly. Prepare for a bushwhack! If you don't like bushwhacking, it's best to avoid this cache.
47th Parallel Geocache Series
This cache is part of the 47th Parallel Geocache Series.
The goal of the series is to provide a variety of geocaches on or as close to the 47th parallel as possible.

The cache won't be hard to find once you are in the right spot. This area used to be frequented by children and dog walkers from the local neighborhoods. I placed this cache here because I wanted my fellow cachers to see this beautiful forest.

This cache is under a tree. The bottom of the tree meets the ground and makes a nice series of "caves". The tree limbs are partially buried by dirt and moss It a nifty natural phenomena. There is one such "cave" on the south side of the tree that goes back quite a few feet.

Parking is best on the south side of Mullen road in a little turn out. Please do not park in the neighborhood on the north side of the street. The neighbors are fine with Geocaching, but they don't appreciate people parking on their property.
A flashlight could be helpful, but by no means is required.
