This cache was placed on a camping trip with a good friend who is a die-hard Broncos fan. (Obviously, it was placed PRIOR to the Superbowl, which proved to be brutal to said team.) We camped at a nice spot nearby and drove about half a mile to this spot as the sun was setting. It was an awesome spot for pics as the sun set.
The cache name will make sense to any football fan, more importantly, Broncos fans.
The 'marker' that is at the cache site was actually found the day AFTER the cache placement, right in our campsite! It seemed like a good luck sign regarding the outcome of the game, so we came back and placed it at the cache site. Needless to say, this was NOT the case.
Anyway, this is a really nice spot, worthy of any cacher's time.
It is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the main trail. You will need a high clearance vehicle, probably with 4WD to park close. It's a short hike from there. Views are great and worth the trip.
It's a desert cache, so you know what to watch out for.
