One of 2 caches placed by myself, they are being looked after by my parents who live very close by. This cache has been placed near to the area known as Sea Caves. Sea Caves is a part of Peyia on the rugged coastline north of Coral Bay. It’s an easy drive into either Coral Bay or Peyia itself to pick up essentials, with Paphos being about 18km away. The beaches at Coral Bay are about five minutes away by car. Sea Caves is quiet and rural. Enjoy an evening walk along the cliffs, watching the sun set in the west. The coastline is dramatic, being formed into rocky outcrops and natural caves. Perfect to unwind away from it all. Secondly the hulking great wreck you can see is The Edro III it left Limassol in bad weather with a cargo of plasterboard bound for Rhodes. The strong winds and rough seas caused the vessel to drift off course when it struck a rock and ran into trouble about ten miles from the shore of Paphos and became disabled. The Edro III drifted until it finally went ashore near Peyia, hitting the rocks between 4am and 5am. The ship got stuck broadside approximately 15 metres from the shore with the bow wedged in a rocky stretch of the beach. The cache is not near any valuable archaeological spots. Please do not disturb foliage, or any natural occurrences. This cache is placed in a naturally formed hollow under some rocks. Suitable for TB’s and small items to trade. At the time of placement contains Log, pencil, toy car, football erasure, flowery peg!! Please replace this cache as found. Most importantly enjoy this beautiful area and leave no trace.
