The Kennedy Town Swimming Pool (with a nickname "The Western Water Cube"), under the management of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), has been partially open for public use since 11 May 2011.
To facilitate the construction of the West Island Line of MTR, the old Kennedy Town Swimming Pool was demolished and the new swimming pool complex built at No 2 Sai Cheung Street North in Kennedy Town, next to Belcher Bay Park. This new complex is uniquely designed so that the public can enjoy a fabulous view of Victoria Harbour from the swimming pool.
The second phase of the works will include the provision of a multi-purpose pool, a teaching pool and a jacuzzi. It is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
