Geocache Description:

A little history of Tallapoosa...This building use to be a store and then Dr. Truax's office who came from Canada after migrating from England.  This MAY slove the mystery of the word WELWYN inscribed on the front steps (which is a little hard to read, since it is faded).  It is a small village in England.  When it was sold in (????) it was bought by Mr. G.B. Evans Sr, who added the porches.  For many years the upstairs was rented as an apartment.  Mrs. Evans called it "The Honeymoon Suite" since many newlyweds lived there.  Mr. Evans owned and operated a store on US 78 that later became Radio Shack.  Tommy Allen purchased the home in Sept 79 and it became Allen's Florist. *The buidling was built around 1890.

If you notice the Decorative Balls along the sidewalk, they where cast from rubber balls by Mr. Lipham

Cache = As I was looking for a place to place the cache, I found a old cache. I replaced the container with my own.   A pen is in the cache, along with a little log and a trade item.  PLEASE replace cache where you found it.  Remember Cache In, Trash Out.  If you like to find'em, hide'em.  Thanks!  You can park just feet from the cache
