Questo percorso, che vuole essere un Wanderweg, è stato inaugurato dall'Associazione Culturale ltalo-Tedesca di Pescia il 6 giugno 1993, in occasione della prima edizione della "Settimana della Fiaba" ed è parte della Strada Europea della Fiaba. Si tratta di una strada mulattiera, le cui origini si perdono nel tempo (alcuni sostengono risalga ai Romani), che collega Pescia a Collodi, il famoso paese di Pinocchio e della suggestiva Villa Garzoni.
Il percorso è indicato con i colori bianco e rosso e a tratti con una malandata cartellonistica e segnaletica. Nonostante ciò la mulattiera è ben tenuta e ben visibile, ma a seconda delle stagioni, il percorso può accusare la mancanza di manutenzione e l’erba può invadere il selciato. Per mantenere sempre il giusto sentiero consiglio di guardare le mappe in fondo al listing. Il percorso classico a piedi richiede circa 1,5-2 ore.
Lungo la Via della Fiaba ci sono ulivi a profusione, ma anche frutteti, orti e giardini a dimostrazione della fertilità di questa terra che fa di Pescia la capitale toscana della floricoltura. Forse c’è anche, da qualche parte, il Campo dei Miracoli dove ingenuamente Pinocchio sotterrò il suo piccolo tesoro di zecchini d’oro sperando di farli germogliare. Strada facendo, si incontrano i modesti segni del paesaggio contadino: una cappella, una croce arrugginita, il ponticello in pietra, un bel selciato consumato dal tempo, un lavatoio. Ma si vedono anche alcune belle ville toscane, dall’intonaco chiaro e luminoso che contrasta e spicca nell’insieme verde argenteo degli uliveti. L'andatura lenta ci consentirà di ammirare le colline che fanno da corona a Pescia, la cui vista ci accompagnerà per un bel pezzo. Il percorso è consigliato anche per gli appassionati di mtb che potranno proseguire lungo altri sentieri ad anello.
Verso metà strada saremo allietati da un inconfondibile mormorio: si tratta del ruscello La Dilezza, noto per la trasparenza delle sue acque, attraversabile grazie ad un antico ponte medievale. Prima del ponte, venendo da Pescia, tra le rocce tanti occhi colorati ci sbirciano e ci seguono. Ancora pochi passi e siamo vicini al luogo del cache.

ATTENZIONE: il sentiero è di campagna e spesso vicino a ruscelli e fosse, l’habitat ideale di alcuni serpenti. Fate attenzione a dove mettete i piedi, ma soprattutto le mani! Arrivati al GZ prima di cercare il cache assicuratevi che non vi siano pericoli!

This path, which wants to be a Wanderweg, was opened by the Associazione Culturale ltalo-Tedesca of Pescia in June 6, 1993, on the occasion of the first edition of the "Week of the Fairy Tale"and is part of the European Route of the Fairy Tale. It is a mule track, whose origins are lost in time (some say dates back to the Romans), which connects Pescia to Collodi, the famous town of Pinocchio and the striking Villa Garzoni .
The path is indicated by the colors red and white and sometimes with a battered sign and display. Despite this, the trail is well maintained and well visible, but according to the seasons, the path can blame the lack of maintenance and grass can invade the pavement. To keep the right path recommend you look at the maps in the bottom of the listing. The classic route on foot takes about 1.5-2 hours.
Along the Fairy Tale Road there are olive trees in profusion, but also orchards, vegetable gardens a demonstration of the fertility of this land which Pescia is the capital city of Tuscan floriculture. Maybe there is, somewhere, the Field of Miracles where Pinocchio naively buried his treasure of gold coins hoping to get them to sprout. Along the way, they meet the modest signs of peasant landscape: a chapel, a rusty cross, the stone bridge, a beautiful time-worn cobblestones, a wash. But we can also see some beautiful Tuscan villas, plaster clear and bright contrasts and stands out as a whole silvery green olive groves. The slow pace will allow us to admire the hills that encircle Pescia, the sight of which will be with us for quite a while. The course is also recommended for fans of bike that will continue along other paths in a ring.
Around half way we will be entertained by an unmistakable murmur of the stream is The Dilezza, known for the transparency of its waters, crossed thanks to an ancient medieval bridge. Before the bridge, coming from Pescia, among the rocks many colored eyes peering us and follow us. A few more steps and we are near the the cache site.
