The event will be held at The Red Rooster in Oak Bay. 5 Old Bay Rd.on Sunday, April 6th, 2014 from 8:30 am (or 9) - 10:30am (or 11)... (we're flexible and accommodating)...
As an added twist to the event this year, we will be incorporating Groundspeak's "Maker Madness" celebration, which runs from March 28 through April 7, and celebrates those creative geocaches and geocachers who bring an added spice of enjoyment to this crazy game we love to play.
The plan to celebrate "Maker Madness" is this: After we eat, if you would like to show off your creativity, feel free to bring in a geocache that you created and share it with the group. You will probably be asked to explain how you created it to the group.
After everyone has shared their creativity, ballots will be handed out to let your fellow cachers vote on their favorite geocaches. You might even win an award! Note that you are not obligated to bring in a geocache. Feel free to just come, eat, and enjoy some good cache talking with your fellow geocachers.
Anyone who logs an “Attended” at a registered Maker Madness event will earn a Maker Madness souvenir, so this is your chance to earn a special souvenir for your profile! All attendees will also receive a special certificate for attending this "Maker Madness" event.
