This is the frst cache placed by The-Jersey-Herd and we have decided to place it at Samares school as it is where the youngest member of the Herd spends most of her time.
You DON'T need to enter the school's premises. Cache placed with the kind permission of the headteacher.
We plan on placing a Cache for each memeber of the Herd and so we sarted with the yougest member Francine and decided on placing it at her school.
Here are a few facts about Samares School that you may not know;
- The Schools original building was constructed in1968
- It was opened on October 31st 1969 by Sir John Davis GCB OBE
- The Current building was constructed in 1996/97
- It was re-opened on June 25th 1999 by Mr John Le Marquand OBE
- The School changed from Le Squez to Samares in 2003
- The School has also be awarded by the Geographical Association as the most southerly primary shool in the British Isles.
- And a fun fact for everyone the Headteacher of Samares school is a fellow Geocacher!
