We will be visiting the Isle Of Wight and wanted the opportunity to meet some local cachers, as well as any other tourists also visiting this week. Hopefully you’ll be able to share with us details of the best and/or must do caches on the Island.
When: Monday 14th April from 8:00pm until 9:30pm
Where: The Vine Inn, Upper Green Road, St.Helens, PO33 1UJ
Why: To meet fellow cachers, swap caching tales, and to discover as many trackables as possible!
Who: For local and visiting cachers; anyone who wants to join us for a chat about caching.
Not knowing the Island at all, I have chosen the nearest pub to our campsite. Their website says they have free wi-fi, and they welcome dogs. If you have geokids there is also a children's playground just across the road to keep them busy.
I (Bean) will be wearing a trackable t-shirt and will also bring our trackable Essex flag so you can spot us more easily. Sprout is now a teenager, so if I manage to persuade him to come along he is likely to be sat in the corner glued to his ipod.
I have a particular passion for TBs and GCs. If you have a trackable or two in your collection that you’d be happy to share I would love to be able to discover them.
I will also be bringing a fair few TBs with us for swapping and discovering. If you have any TBs that want to head back to the mainland do bring them along and we’ll take them home with us after our visit.
Don't worry if you're not into trackables, you will still be very welcome.
