kb10bo: It looks like this part of the Fairgrounds facility is going to remain closed for a while longer yet. I went out to check on several of my caches out there yesterday and decided to just go ahead and archive this one.

The cache was still in great shape, but its location is less than ideal now. The 4-H Archery Team uses the lower grass parking lot for their practices, which means that it isn't always safe to go out and look for it. My plan is to re-hide it in a new location once the facility opens back up.

Geocache Description:

There are lots of opportunities to win a blue ribbon here at the Coweta Co. Fairgrounds.........at the Kiwanis Coweta Co. Fair, the annual CVPA Poultry Show, the Newnan Kennel Club Dog Shows or at a variety of 4-H events. But this "Blue Ribbon" is just for my fellow geocachers!

You'll be looking for an ammo can with a log book and plenty of swag. But remember, this is a Letterbox Hybrid, so PLEASE DO NOT TAKE the stamp or the stamp pad, as this would make the cache useless as a letterbox.

I work here at the Fairgrounds and have permission to place this cache on the property . It will be available whenever the front gate is open. Generally that will be from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (or as late as 11:00 pm) on Saturday and from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday.

It’s an easy walk to the cache, or you can drive out relatively close to it. But if you choose to drive, you may have to stop by the office at the Conference Center (Exhibit Building) to get one of us to open one of the back gates for you.
