This Cache is not at the posted coordinates,
I went to Thomas Mountain via the truck trail of the same name today. I opted to come down a different route and came down at the Ranger Station in East Hemet on Hwy 74. I rated the Terrain at 4 because of the 22 mile round trip on a rough truck trail, easy hike the last 400 feet.
I had reasons to stop here to place this cache, one of which was to allow my brakes to cool! Don't confuse the Summit Log container with my cache. You're looking for a small cammoed coffee can and the log was placed inside a 35mm film can. This Truck Trail can be accessed from the East via Thomas Mountain TT or start at the Ranger Station in East Hemet. Sometimes the Key to a route/destination/solution is just to do it Backwards! I traveled from East to West in my 2wd Ford Ranger without difficulty.
Congrats to Active-Fire! I see my method of hiding Coords is no challenge for him! I have something else in mind for my next one!
