Announcing the all new Space Coast Geo Adventures! What is this you ask? We have worked with the Space Coast Tourism Development Council to bring you the Space Coast's first ever Geo-tour. This will be the kick off event that will explain how it will all work and what you will have to do in order to complete the tour and earn yourself a really cool looking geocoin that will be trackable on geocaching.com. The event will start at 11:00 am and last until about 2:00.
We will be hosting this event at Sebastian Inlet State Park. There is an $8.00 fee to enter the park. You can have up to 8 people in your vehicle and still get in for one price. So we suggest you meet up at the nearby marina drop a vehicle and carpool to the event and share the entrance fee. No worries, you will get your $8.00 worth. We will be serving a FREE meal cooked up by our very own PSJKids aka Bob. He is going to making pork sandwiches, two sides and a drink.
What you will need....a smart phone that can take pics or a digital camera. If you plan to do this tour and would like to qualify for the coin you MUST have the ability to take pictures. Anyone can find these caches once they are published and log them on geocaching.com without any other requirements other than finding the container and signing the log. However, if you would like to qualify for the coin a camera is required. There will be two caches located in the park so you can get those while you are here as well as save yourself from having to pay to come back another day.
