This is my first official cache, and I am placing it for the geocaching merit badge, so it seemed only fitting to put it at my regular meeting place for the Boy Scouts. It's called tent time because I got the idea while camping. I have tried my best to make it a good cache, so if you find anything wrong with it, please write it down in the logbook. there's plenty of writing space to spare. I will check it every Monday, because that's where I meet for Boy Scouts, and it'll be great to see how many people have used it! Update: I earned the geocaching merit badge on February 24, 2014 just to keep you posted. FTF goes to shortyknits! Another Update: I am proud to say that I have earned My Eagle Scout on February 29, 2016! After years of effort towards this, I finally reached my goal. Eagle Scout is scouting's highest award, earned by less than 4% of all scouts. To earn Eagle, a scout must first progress through the many ranks of scouting, from the most basic rank of Scout, the skill based requirements of Tenderfoot, Second class, and First class, then through the leadership, merit badge, and service based ranks of Star & Life. The requirements of Eagle involve being active in scouts for at least 6 months since your last rank advancement, (although it usually takes longer, as did mine) serving as a leader in your troop for at least 6 months, earning 21 merit badges out of the 136 merit badges, (one of my 30 merit badges is Geocaching) and coordinate a lasting service project for the community. Basically, there is a lot to be done by those who strive to achieve this award. I placed this cache over two years ago now, as a young scout in Troop 60 St. Charles Il. It has 140 finds as of 2/29/16, and I am happy to keep up the cache for those who enjoy it!
