A couple decades later the town got the name Meyersville, named after Kasper W. Meyer. Meyersville, Homestead Park, Millington, Stirling, and Gillette are all part of what is now known as the Township of Long Hill. Meyersville is just south of what is now the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. The village remains what it always was, a quiet cross roads hamlet with a small cluster of businesses. The current Meyersville Inn used to be a place where one could ride to, pick up supplies and rest your horse and self. The Casa Maya used to be a blacksmith shop. The Meyersville Cafe used to be a post office. Meyersville Presbyterian Church (which was built in 1846) is still active. There are also 3 other caches in Meyersville for you to grab and many dozens more just in Long Hill Township alone.
