This is one of a series of caches situated on the Mikimiki to Kiriwhakapapa track
This is a lovely bush walk with abundant bird life, and is one of the gateways into the Tararuas. It follows an old mill road, and there is a sign showing the site of a tree nursery from the 1930's near the Mikimiki Road end.
The track is well formed with bridges, and gentle gradients, but can be a bit muddy in places after rain.
The cache is a small brown screw top plastic jar, containing a log-book.
