This cache is located just above the Flathead River at the car park above Kerr Dam Overlook.
Hope you brought your camera because from here you get exceptional views of the Flathead River and Mission Mountains. In the early spring the ground is covered with Yellow Bells and Shooting Stars. During the summer the river below is a popular playground for water skiers and wake boarders alike.
During spring, summer and fall you should be able to drive almost to the cache just remember the main road gate at the junction of Kerr Dam Road and Valley View Road closes at sunset. During winter you’ll have about a half mile walk from the closed gate by the Overlook sign and the main gate closes at 5:30pm. I placed this cache in the middle of winter with a foot of snow on the ground and cross country skied in to place it! Cache seekers should have in their possession a Flathead Reservation Conservation Permit.
You are looking for a small tube tucked out of sight. While you are in the area be sure to visit "A Hamster Cache", "Picture Perfect View" and "Kerr Plunk".
