Can a coon dog help a community? It can in Saluda, NC. On the first Saturday after the Fourth of July, Saluda celebrates their annual Coon Dog Day, bringing thousands of visitors to this small community.
Obviously, this event is not being held on Coon Dog Day, but we are celebrating the beautiful Black and Tan anyway. And we might also partake in the famous sage sausage offered here at Thompson Store, the oldest grocery store in NC.
Join us from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm for fellowship and maybe even a coon dog barking contest.
