Tamworth is the Country Music Capitol of Australia and each year in January a country songwriter is honoured by having his /her details engraved on a bronze plaque and attached to a granite rock here. It is worth a stroll along the adjacent Peel River and visit the Tamworth Tourist centre nearby.
