Geocache Description:

Clean Up Australia Day is on the 2nd March this year, and after having lived in Perth for a couple of years (some 20 years ago - before starting geocaching obviously) I would like to host a CITO Event to help keep Perth a great place to cache in. So, come to Apple Street in Upper Swan, at the road train assembly area from 0830 to socialise (bring your trackables for swapping or discovering). If raining, we will meet at coordinates in my note: 27/2/14

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Pre-registration is possible (but optional) by going to http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/CITO+Upper+Swan+-+CUAD

There will be bags to collect from the above coordinates at 0900 (9 am), with potential places in Upper Swan listed and allocated for you to go and pick up rubbish, and for those that return by 1000 I will assess who has collected the most rubbish, and will have a CUAD cap. As this is a CITO Event, on returning if you wish you can sign a log book of attendance.

Your collected bags of rubbish will be responsibly disposed of by Council after the long weekend. Please bring your own leather or other sturdy gloves for broken bottles or sharp rubbish, as I will only have some large non-latex gloves suitable for chemical spills.

Weather depending: bring a sun hat (sun screen will be provided), or raincoat. Contact person is: Grahame Cookie on 0416 067 863.
