Geocache Description:

The cache IS located at the posted coordinates, but please don't search on Sundays between 8 AM and 1 PM.

While Mac&Sharon (COW) - the COW stands for "Caching over the World" - live across the country in San Diego, I usually get to see them at least once a year while they are traveling to visit nearby family. One thing that has always impressed me about their geocaching is the great, exotic places they end up logging from. Over the last several years they have found geocaches in twenty-four different countries and on six of the seven continents (no Antarctica... yet!). They truly do COW!

Recently while looking at their stats, I noticed the following:

Okay, so the mileage is impressive, but while I have not personally amassed that kind of distance, I do know others that have. What makes these stats so unbelievable is that Mac&Sharon (COW) have traveled this distance while finding less than 400 caches! I'm sure there are no statistics to back this up, but I would guess that they have may have traveled "to the moon" faster than any other geocacher ever!

According to their geocaching.com stats, they have only found six geocaches within 250 miles of their home, while at the same time more than 90% of their finds are more than 2,500 miles away. In fact, as of 4/1/14, 308 of their 396 finds are more than 5,000 miles from home!

This cache is placed to honor Mac&Sharon (COW)'s amazing accomplishment, as well as inspire others to do what they have done - Cache Over the World! The FTF prize (World Travel Coin) is for them to use as they see fit, including tracking their next trip around the moon!

This Letterbox Hybrid style geocache contains a stamp (which stays with the geocache) and two logbooks. You can use the stamp for your own personal letter-boxing book and stamp the one log (green) with your own personal stamp, or you can just log the second book (yellow) without using a stamp.
