6-8 p.m.

Whether you are a math geek or not, Pi day is a time to celebrate the wonderful mathematical constant π (3.14159... ) and an excuse to eat anything round and everything associated with pi(e)!   Since 3, 1, and 4 are the three most significant digits of π in the decimal form, March 14th (3/14) is the day it is observed in the U.S.  In 2009, the United States House of Representatives supported the designation of March 14th as Pi Day.

To commemorate this day and the importance of Pi, we will celebrate by gathering for a meet and greet from 6-8 p.m.  Feel free to stop by anytime between those hours.  The band, Cover Tones, will start the entertainment portion of the evening at 8 p.m. for anyone choosing to stay later than 8 p.m. and partake in some celebratory dancing!  Prior to that, however, there will be lots of round options for dinner or snacks, including round burgers and pizza.  For those who wish to be square (there's always at least one in every crowd!), there will be sandwiches, seafood, and other delicious items as well.  

The main attraction of the evening, however, will be the delicious dessert pies that are being ordered especially for our celebration and will be available to anyone choosing to enjoy some deliciousness after their dinner for the special Pi Day price of $3.14 per slice.  Whether you prefer apple, blueberry, chocolate cream, coconut cream, or even banana, there will be pie for you!
