The rail line to Stanthorpe was completed in May 1881. The first passenger train between Brisbane and Sydney via Stanthorpe ran on 16th January 1888.
Southern Downs Steam Railway still use the line, bringing passengers on trips to Wallangarra, with a stop in Stanthorpe for wine tours. The steam train to Wallangarra is worth the trip down memory lane.
The cache is a small sistema container with log and pencil, and only small swaps.
