Geocache Description:

Dr Owl and sushilord are organising a series of puzzle solving events to be held across Adelaide over the next few months. These events are for those who are starting out in geocaching puzzle land and will concentrate on puzzles up to 2 ½ difficulty.

This event will be held at Ingle Farm Salvation Army Hall, Maxwell Court, Ingle Farm. A gold coin donation would be appreciated to cover the cost of using the hall.

Join us from 10am to noon. Note that this event is being held on a public holiday.

This series of events will give you a chance to improve your puzzle solving knowledge through hands-on practice and working with others.

This event will begin with a short presentation on working with images and provide time for working on puzzles in small groups afterwards.

A cheat sheet dealing with images is available HERE

Experienced puzzle solvers will be available to provide guidance to groups, helping them towards achieving a viable set of coordinates. The expectation is that if you have the solution to a puzzle that is being worked on by the group you will help the others through the steps to the end goal. The event should not be seen as an opportunity to swap final coordinates.

To get the most from these events you should come along with up to 6 puzzles that have been giving you trouble, your notes on your solved puzzles, and be prepared to work together for a couple of hours. A laptop with mobile broadband access, a tablet or smartphone might prove handy.

At Puzzles for beginners: 1 Dr Owl provided a list of 23 puzzle caches. The list provided a variety of puzzles intended to expose you to a range of puzzle solving techniques and have a bit of fun. This list can be downloaded from HERE. A second list of 23 slightly more challenging puzzles has been put together for those who are on their way to becoming puzzle geniuses. Get it HERE Dr Owl has prepared a third list for those that want to spread their wings. Get it HERE It is suggested that you bring along your workings on these puzzles and take the opportunity to brainstorm any that you have not been able to solve.

The cheat sheet provided at Puzzles for beginners: 1 can be found HERE
