Geocache Description:

The twelfth of the Bring Your Own Battery series. Hope your 9 volt battery is holding out!

I'm running out of suitable locations, however this one is a goodie. Bit of a walk but well worth it.

A nice spot for a picnic lunch. There's shelter, but no drinking water. You are looking at a 2.3Km round trip walk from the closest parking spot 34°58.117'S 117°23.271'E ,(accessed through Springdale Beach Estate). It's the same parking spot for 'Jarrah Splits' and 'BYOB #3' and 'BYOB #10', so you can do them too...

Or do the full BYOB-Heritage Rail Experience starting from the river mouth bridge for the long walk, or the South Coast Highway bridge for the longer stroll via the Mokare Walk. (And more BYOBs!) Better still, get on yer bike, it's a great bike path — in fact it forms part of the Munda Biddi Bike Trail! And being an old railway line it has very easy grades...

This is a complete rebuild. Tho original mechanism was trashed (twice) by careless use. The new version is simpler but stronger. If you've done BYOB #10 on the way here, you will have an idea of what is needed to release the cache box. If not, the hint will reveal all.

This cache, as with all the others, is placed with the full permission and encouragement of the Denmary Shire.

For those interested in how it works there are photos in the gallery of the mechanisms, old and new.
