Our beautiful Gold coast spit shelters the south channel and wave break island from the elements that mother nature throws at us and this side has a pumping station or (clear water intake pipe line) that feeds the sand slurry pump station with out this part of our spit the sand drifts will clog our sea way and the broad water that so many of us use every day will become shallow and sand bars will appear in no time.
