Lukers Numero Uno Lakeside View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

jakersluke: This area has been closed down by Miami Dade County. The area is fenced off and they are saving the area from vandals who tried to take the lake over. This cache had an awesome run and we will miss it greatly. It was Lukers very first cache..... But there are more, and will be more......

Geocache Description:

This is the first hide by Lukers. Lukers is on a mission to help populate the local area with new caches.

The hide will bring you to a beautiful lakeside view of Lake Naranja. Many orange groves were once located in this area, so the community name came from the Spanish word for orange, "naranja", but the actual pronunciation is (Na-Ran-Jah) among the local residents. Naranja is a small community with a total area of 1.7 square miles. 1.5 of it is land, and 0.2 square miles of it is water - which you will be looking at right now.  This lake is the South West corner of Naranja. Naranja was also a stop for the Florida East Coast Railroad that once ran through this area.

You will be looking for a small camouflaged bison tube.  Not to high, not to low, not to deep, not to shallow. BYOP.

FTF honors to catfishpeppey and LingDynasty....
